Handmade Jewellery

By Sherry Luther

This jewellery is enamel on copper earrings, pendants & pins.

My process is sifting powdered glass onto copper, layering to create designs & effects, and fusing to the metal with a kiln and/or torch. I also repurpose pennies in some of my jewellery for a sweet nostalgic treat.

Custom Pennies!

I take custom penny jewellery orders where you choose the year and colour. Contact me for more information.

About me

I have always loved collecting and wearing handmade jewellery. Much of my career was working in an administrative capacity within the creative industries and I was inspired by a variety of artists, particularly those working in 3D.

I began learning jewellery making and metalsmithing attending several Red Deer Polytechnic Summer Series Art Workshops. As well I participated in the Ness Creek forestART ‘tiny shiny’ workshops.  I’ve rounded out my hands-on experience taking in several other metalsmithing workshops in Saskatoon and Edmonton. Further to this I find  YouTube tutorials to be hugely valuable and informative.

I thoroughly enjoy working with opaque and transparent enamels. The possibilities are endless; many of my designs are one-of-a-kind.
